Three days in Gorinchem, and what a pleasure it was to be among our home crowd.

Aqua Nederland brought together the heart of the Dutch water sector — municipalities, water authorities, engineers, and operators — all under one roof in Gorinchem. Booth G17 was lively throughout, with visitors who came with concrete challenges and a genuine interest in finding long-term solutions for their pump systems.

It was especially rewarding to co-exhibit with The Timken Company, allowing us to offer a more complete picture of rotating equipment reliability. Thank you to everyone who visited, asked the hard questions, and made these three days so worthwhile.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE

For operators managing drinking water and wastewater systems, eliminating process fluid leakage is as much a regulatory requirement as it is a maintenance goal. The (water) lubricated Liquidyne® design addressed this concern directly and generated strong recognition among visitors.

LEAN TEAMS NEED PREDICTABLE MAINTENANCE

Water authorities and municipalities often operate with limited maintenance capacity. The ability to plan seal replacements ahead of time, rather than respond to failures, was a key topic. Liquidyne®'s condition monitoring function and predictable lifespan resonated strongly here.

SEALING AND BEARING PERFORMANCE GO HAND IN HAND

Co-exhibiting with Timken opened conversations that went beyond seals alone. Visitors appreciated being able to discuss the full picture of rotating equipment reliability, bearings and sealing together, without moving to a different booth.

ABOUT THE LIQUIDYNE® IN WATER & WASTEWATER APPLICATIONS

Water and wastewater applications place specific demands on pump sealing: the system must be reliable, easy to maintain, and — critically — must never introduce contaminants into the process fluid. The Liquidyne® meets all three. Its water-lubricated design eliminates the need for oil or grease, making it a naturally clean solution for drinking water, drainage, and treatment infrastructure.

Originally developed in 1983 for dredge pumps in demanding conditions, the Liquidyne® is today widely used in industrial pumps, cooling water systems, sluices, and locks. The configuration is tailored to each application based on pump type, temperature, particle size, and flushing requirements — ensuring the right seal for the right environment.
