In addition, we continuously keep ourselves informed of the latest reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that we also limit the risks of our presence abroad. Below we answer four frequently asked questions about the services of Lagersmit and the current Corona problems.

How is the accessibility of Lagersmit guaranteed?

Lagersmit will remain accessible as we have always been. You can reach us via the general telephone number (+31 (0)88 0216 200) or via the contact persons within our company who are known to you.

Can Lagersmit continue to supply seals and spare parts?

Yes, at this time Lagersmit can send its products as confirmed. Our value network is almost entirely based in Europe and to date there are no problems in this network. In order to be as well prepared as possible for unexpected events, Lagersmit has increased the strategic stock for new build, retrofit and spare parts until further notice. Of course, Lagersmit also depends on carriers and successful goods receipt also depends on the country to which goods are shipped. We can see that more and more countries are moving towards a lock-down state. It is very likely that this will cause delay in deliveries. Lagersmit does not have any influence to change this. If unexpected problems arise here, during the production phase of your delivery, we will inform you of this.

Can Lagersmit continue to provide service worldwide?

Yes, but here we must consider the continuously changing circumstances. At the moment, Lagersmit cannot offer any certainty about this. Lagersmit follows the instructions from the EU and the Dutch government to temporarily not travel and is preparing for the scenario that also makes entering the EU more difficult. Our team is increasingly confronted with countries closing borders. Our service network spans several countries and therefore it may be possible (at the moment of writing) that a service project in a country where our service station is located, can continue as normal. Lagersmit will assess each customer request on the basis of the available information from the relevant countries and give a definite answer here whether or not we can support. This also applies to current projects or already planned projects. Naturally, we also ask customers to keep our team well informed, so that we can avoid any surprises.
