Supreme Ventus®
The Supreme Ventus is an intelligent, durable and self-regulating sealing solution that guarantees zero emissions of oil for seagoing vessels. It has a constant air flow which prevents an oil-to-water interface and drains any leakage into a monitoring tank. You avoid the use of expensive bio-oils and can keep sailing in American waters with mineral oils.

How it works
Due to the extra air barrier between the oil and water-repellent lip seals, any leakage is immediately transported to the transparent drain tank. A periodically generated vacuum ensures that the drain channel remains clean. The Air Control Unit (ACU) monitors the condition of the aft seal (SVA) and lets you know the status of the seal at any time.
The Supreme Ventus complies with the VGP and VIDA regulations because a constant airflow separates the oil and water-repellent lip seals. Because the pressure in the seal is adjusted to the water pressure, there is compensation for every draft. This results in minimal wear on the liner and lip seals. The Supreme Ventus is available for shaft diameters from 116 to 1150 millimetres.

Materials
The Supreme Ventus consists of high-quality bronze housing parts, an aft seal with valve (SVA), a stainless steel liner and ACU. The aft seal has two water-repellent and one oil-repellent rubber (NBR or FKM) lip seal. The forward seal consists of two oil-repellent lip seals and is lubricated by a compact circulation tank. A corresponding header tank, to which all necessary connections have already been made, is available as an option.

Retrofit
The Supreme Ventus is the most popular choice for seagoing vessels. The VGP/VIDA regulations are the main reason for shipping companies to retrofit their seal with a Supreme Ventus. You avoid the use of expensive bio-oils and can continue to sail in American waters with mineral oils. You will pollute the environment with oil if you don’t have a sealing solution that ensures zero emissions of oil.
Extra safety: Supreme SeaGuard Ventus®
For extra safety, you can combine the Supreme Ventus with the Supreme SeaGuard (SGV). The extra oil-repellent lip seal can be activated in the event of excessive oil leakage. In this way, an unnecessary dry dock can be prevented and maintenance can be postponed safely.
