Lagersmit expands its service and distribution network during SMM

Switch to Peace of Mind with the best sealing solutions and service 24/7 worldwide. That’s the main focus of Lagersmit and was also the theme of its booth at the SMM this year. Lagersmit is happy to announce during this biggest maritime exhibition in the world, that it has expanded its network to serve customers in Greece, Cyprus and China even better.

Expansion of service network – Greece and Cyprus

UMAR – WSR, headed by maritime expert Mr Thrasos Tsangarides, is already our agent in Greece, Cyprus and the United Arab Emirates. We will now also team up when it comes to service activities for our customers in the regions Greece and Cyprus. Service jobs like retrofits, where the full support and seal commissioning are done by UMAR are executed by a local service engineer. Service engineers will be fully trained and certified to maintain and overhaul Lagersmit seals.

Expansion of distribution network in China

Forwin Equipment and Engineering has been the dedicated partner in China for Lagersmit for decades now. During the SMM, the cooperation was taken to a new level as Forwin now is the exclusive distributor in the maritime market for Lagersmit seals. Lagersmit and Forwin also signed an exclusive service agreement, which enables Forwin to serve Lagersmit’s core market in China with the complete package of seals, and new-build installation and commissioning.
