A Seal

LAGERSMIT SPONSORS SEAL SANCTUARY A SEAL

At Lagersmit in Alblasserdam, we are proud to support A Seal - a seal sanctuary in Stellendam that has been dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of seals in need since 2014. A Seal takes in sick, injured and orphaned seals, with the goal of eventually returning them healthy to the North Sea.

TOGETHER

Every day, volunteers and professionals at A Seal unite behind one mission: giving seals a second chance. From initial intake and treatment to the moment of release, each step is handled with care, attention, and respect for the animal.
A Seal and Lagersmit both champion cooperation, trust, and responsibility — values that come together naturally.

DEVELOPMENT & CARE

Upon arrival, the seals are examined and cared for. Learn all about their recovery in Eva’s vlog. They recover in quarantine and special pools, where they learn to eat independently and become stronger again. Only when a seal has fully recovered does the best moment follow: its return to the sea. As Lagersmit, we are proud to contribute to this process by sponsoring A Seal to make their important work possible.

PASSION

The passion and dedication of everyone at A Seal is a perfect match for who we are as Lagersmit. We believe in commitment, caring for each other and giving something back to the world around us. A Seal shows how much of a difference you can make with knowledge, commitment and a big heart.

Eva visits A Seal and sees Bob for the first time as he recovers after his surgery. Petra, the visitor center manager, explains what A Seal does and what the rescue stands for during the visit.
