Technique route 2023

The future is bright, and the next generation of jobholders got a glimpse of it during the Techniekroute event held on February 28th, 2023 at Lagersmit. The group visited our facilities during an interesting time, as renovations take place to upgrade and update the production and warehouse. Minding some extra safety measures, the event went ahead as planned, and the enthusiasm of the total 20 students who attended was contagious. 

The day kicked off with two engaging presentations about Lagersmit, our products, and the various departments of our company. The pupils were then taken on a tour of our facility, where they got to see our company’s inner workings. From the excitement of watching the CNC machines in operation to the precision of measuring bearings at QC, the students were eager to learn. 

One highlight of the tour was the assembly department, where the pupils saw how individual parts were assembled. They were able to witness the skill and precision required to create the finished product. In the warehouse, the students had fun looking up items at the automated warehouse system and learning about the importance of inventory management. 

Both, the teachers and pupils, left the event with a deeper understanding of the engineering industry and the exciting career opportunities it holds. The event was a huge success, and we would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts in creating a safe and experiential experience.
